Whitney & Jon got married on October 25th on a sunny and warm fall day. The day started out at Grace College in Winona Lake with their wedding party by their side (22 people!) as they anxiously awaited the ceremony. They exchanged gifts with a door between them so they wouldn’t see each other until Whitney walked down the aisle. Whitney got Jon a guitar and Jon gave Whitney rings he designed and handmade – what thoughtful gifts!! Jon also surprised Whitney by playing a song he previously wrote and recorded when she walked down the aisle (he is a musician). Aww! We also loved that they made their ceremony more personal by writing their own vows to each other.
The reception followed at The Back Forty, a rustic venue in the middle of the woods. There were so many fun details to capture since Whitney created some awesome DIY decorations. The reception was filled with meaningful toasts, dancing, and fun for all. They thought of everything – they had a photo booth, candy bar, and cookie cutters for favors. They even had a blank canvas for guests to paint so Whitney & Jon would have a new piece of art to hang in their home. The celebration ended with a beautiful sparkler exit. Congratulations and best wishes to the newlyweds, Whitney & Jon!! 🙂
