Lindsey & Sam had the sweetest wedding on June 27, 2015 at Sam’s family’s farm in Berne, Indiana. The non-seasonal weather (60 degrees and rain!) would not stop them from having the best day ever. They had such a personal and meaningful wedding. I think everyone there was either family or friends. They quickly made us feel like friends too and we felt honored to be a part of it. The photographer and DJ were family, the officiant was their high school science teacher, and their family catered the meal. Wow! What a labor of love to create the perfect day for Lindsey & Sam.
After Lindsey got ready at her family’s home, she headed over to the farm to see Sam for the first time that day. He had been getting ready at the house on the farm and working hard all morning with family and friends making sure everything was ready to go. They had to move the ceremony location last minute inside of the barn. It couldn’t have turned out better though. It was the perfect wedding for 50 feet of Super 8 so you’ll see that mixed into the video.
It really only started raining on us for a short time before the ceremony, but they were able to get all the photos they needed and hide out before guests started arriving. After they tied the knot and were pronounced husband & wife in the barn, the celebration began! The reception was held under a tent on the property, and was the perfect combination of yummy food, meaningful toasts, and of course – lots of dancing!
We did steal the bride & groom away at sunset because, believe or not, the sky cleared off and there was the most beautiful sunset. That wasn’t all though…the night ended with an awesome firework display as people danced the night away. Congratulations Lindsey & Sam! We wish you a lifetime full of joy and blessings.
