Do most brides wish for a beautiful snowy day to get married on? I’m not sure if that’s the first thing that comes to mind for most couples, but if you watch this sneak peek perhaps we can help sway whatever you opinion may be. Besides the temperatures, Kelly & Adam’s wedding was an incredible way to kick off 2014. They are such a great couple and definitely laid back, ready for whatever came on their wedding day. For example, they had made sure they secured a limo to take the wedding party around downtown Indianapolis for photos. When their vehicle showed up, it was the exact opposite of a swanky limo. But they just rolled with it! That is a sign of a couple purely ready to get married and make great memories. Speaking of those photos, we worked with the one and only Emily Weis. We highly recommend her in your wedding photographer search!
Our day started in Fountain Square, which we love. It is a neat place to hangout in Indianapolis. They got ready there and were able to have their first look out in the square. We then made it across the slick roads to the library and there it started to snow some of the most gorgeous flakes. The timing was perfect as we could get some wonderful shots in the old library and out in the peaceful snow. They had a traditional, yet very meaningful, ceremony and like that they were married! We were off to the reception to celebrate!
The reception was held at The Rathskeller. It’s sad to say, but we’d never been before. We’re bad residents of Indianapolis. It took a little time for the party to start as the snow slowed down guests in arriving, but once things got underway it picked right up. We loved their first dance, they had great toasts from family members, and then everyone danced the night away to the tunes of the Endless Summer Band.
Who’d of thought that in the middle of one of the coldest winters we’ve ever seen Kelly & Adam pull off a fantastic wedding. We’re so happy for you guys and so glad you chose us to film your wedding, thank you for that. Congrats!
