Kalee & Ricky had a downtown Indianapolis wedding at the Sheraton on a beautiful fall day. They got ready and had their ceremony + reception all at the Sheraton! Plus, their first look and photos were just a walking distance away. Having everything in one place is always a good option if you want things to be as low-stress as possible. Another tip? Hire Micala McClain Photography who helped keep the day moving along smoothly. This was our first wedding working alongside Micala and her husband Jordan, and we had a blast. 🙂
Their ceremony was in a room with windows overlooking the circle downtown. October 19, 2013 must’ve been a popular day to get married because we saw several different wedding parties getting photos on the circle. Kalee & Ricky had the cutest group of flower girls/ring bearer that made everyone smile as they came down the aisle.
After the ceremony, Kalee & Ricky were ready to celebrate with family and friends – and wow, did they have a lot of people there to support them! I was impressed that Kalee & Ricky stood almost 2 hours and greeted each guest at cocktail hour. 🙂
The reception was held in a ballroom, and they decorated with touches of peacock feathers and teal and black. For their cake, they had a huge cupcake tower that were almost too pretty to eat! Kalee changed into her dancing shoes (custom Chuck Taylor’s) and the party started. The rest of the night was a big celebration of their new marriage with friends and family – which is exactly what they wanted. 🙂
Congratulations Kalee & Ricky – we wish you two the very best! Thanks for entrusting us to film one of the biggest days of your life.
