Brittany & Evan chose the perfect time of year to get married. There’s something about fall, something that’s in the air, that makes it one of our favorite times of the year. The weather is crisp yet still beautiful out. The leaves are changing, the sky is bright blue, and bonfires start popping up every weekend!
Their wedding took place at Salem Crossing Farm in Zionsville, Indiana, which has an awesome covered bridge where they had their ceremony. Just up the hill is a really cool barn. On each opposite end of it are rooms where the bride & groom can get ready. We love barns, but it may be that we’re biased since we were married outside of one as well. 😉
They had fantastic little touches to their country wedding. During the day, they had had us go around and ask family and friends to leave a message for them. They also exchanged gifts around a barn door, since they couldn’t see each other until the ceremony. Brittany’s gift was dog food since they were going to get a puppy once married and back from their honeymoon! They also had apple butter made from Grandma’s recipe as favors at the reception, which is probably the best fall treat. We’re still going through ours two months later.
Congrats Brittany & Evan – we wish you the very best. We hope the puppy and married life is treating you fantastically. 🙂
