Amy & Ryne’s Wedding

Amy & Ryne had such a beautiful and classic winter wedding right on the circle in downtown Indianapolis. The day turned out to be one of the warmer days in December, which we all lucked out a little bit when it came time to take some photos outside. Amy brought a perfect coat to go with her dress while outside though; smart thinking! We joined Darcy of Darcy Demmel Photography and Jackie who is half of Cory + Jackie to follow these lovebirds around all day snapping and filming every moment. Some of the finest wedding videography we’ve done to date!

Highlight

The day started with Amy and her bridesmaids all getting ready, waiting to see the bride in her dress. Meanwhile the guys tried to kill some time joking around. Amy & Ryne were then finally able to see each other during their sweet first look. From there it seemed like the nerves settled and the day had started. After some photos by themselves, the wedding party and family joined in on the circle. People walked by yelling out congrats, and we even heard some other couples whispering how great the wedding party looked too. It’s true; they were straight out of a wedding magazine. We were taken back ourselves. 😉

After that set of photos was wrapped up, it was ceremony time. Amy & Ryne’s ceremony was officiated by Ryne’s Grandpa. It was personal, down to earth, and touching. Ryne, your Grandpa did such a great job with the ceremony. The ceremony also had an awesome backdrop and candle light everywhere. Very much an intimate and romantic setting. The venue is one of the top venues in Indianapolis, D’Amore, and has a spectacular view of the circle and most of downtown. Ceiling to floor, wall to wall windows let you take in the view from all sides of the building.

Following the ceremony was cocktail hour, where everyone was enjoying themselves and loosening up a bit before the dancing started later in the night. You wouldn’t believe the classy details carefully placed all around the room, accenting the night just right. Jennifer from Ruffles and Roses did an excellent job of coordinating everything!

The reception started with a welcome from Amy’s Dad, which was both hilarious and heartfelt. After dinner we were treated to the couple’s first dance, which really set the stage for the rest of the party! You know it’s always going to be good when the couple comes prepared with dance lessons under their belt! They had a live band pumping out the hits, and the energy was flowing back and forth with everyone belting it out at the top of their lungs. We even felt the floor (the 48th floor of the building!) shaking at some points as everyone danced into the night.

To Amy & Ryne – thank you for letting us capture this special day for you. We enjoyed being a part of it, and have loved telling others about your wonderful wedding. You have set the bar for us and winter weddings!
