Amanda & Charlie had a small, intimate wedding in downtown Indianapolis on October 5th. They both got ready, at separate times, in the Presidential Suite in the Omni Severin Hotel. WOW – that was the most gorgeous place to film getting ready shots. Charlie said he booked the room just for the sake of photos & video! He knew what he was doing. 🙂
It rained for most of the day, which can damper some spirits except for at this wedding. The rain was peaceful with the wall-to-wall windows…however, we needed it to stop raining for the outdoor ceremony at White River State Park. Guess what? It stopped just in time for the ceremony and some photos after the ceremony and then started raining again during the reception (which was fine because we were inside). It always seems to work out that way for us!
The ceremony is a unique part of smaller weddings. They had just a handful of their very closest friends and family there – plus their sweet dog, of course, who was the ring bearer. It’s a refreshing thing to experience, especially since they even made us feel like we had been friends forever. For the reception, we headed to The Cerulean, an awesome new restaurant in downtown Indy. They had a small, secluded section of the restaurant to enjoy dinner, drinks, a first dance, and cake. Charlie even surprised Amanda by playing “Wonderful Tonight” on his guitar. How sweet!
I have to say a special THANK YOU to our friend Todd for filling in for Ryan while he was on a WooTrip. Todd saved the day and we are so so grateful for his help. He did an amazing job.
Congratulations Amanda & Charlie; we wish you the very best! Thank you for trusting us to capture your memories.
