We’re a young, newly married couple based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. We have a craving to create and your stories are our muse. Transforming your life story into a timeless visual masterpiece is a passion we are eager to share.
Whether it be your wedding or your family, there are beautiful stories to be told. Our objective is to create a classic and beautiful film portraying those special moments. The moments fade, but the memories remain – cherished by you and your loved ones and preserved by our high quality films.
We want to capture and document every beautiful moment of your story through the art of videography, so you never forget them. As a husband and wife team, we know how precious each moment is in life. Our business thrives because we work together in harmony, each bringing our own talents to the table. We love meeting people and making new friends as part of our business. At Two Are Better, we want you to know that we completely invest ourselves into your story. There’s no other way to learn every intricate detail. Not to mention, we really care about the people we work with.
We are constantly stimulating our imagination and honing our skills, not only to make your experience better, but also to deliver a final product that exceeds your expectations. Knowing you are trusting us with your memories to create a work of art that will last forever is something we treasure and never take lightly.
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).”
I always knew I needed a creative outlet, but I never dreamed it would evolve into something as great as Two Are Better. I’ll be the first to admit that my formal degrees are actually in biology & education. What started as curiosity about Ryan’s DSLR became him teaching me the art of photography. It wasn’t too long after that when I discovered that I actually loved videography the most.
Sometime in all of that time of discovery, we jumped into the world of weddings and created Two Are Better. It’s been a learning experience – not only about the ins and outs of owning a videography business, but also about finding my interests and passion. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to make sure I’m not just dreaming up this awesome adventure.
So what else do I love to do besides film weddings and families with Ryan? I also love nature and spending time outdoors, whether that’s riding bikes or fishing. Crafting is another way I love to be creative. I enjoy being conscientious about my health and the environment – like creating healthy meals and making my own laundry detergent. I love to cuddle on the couch and watch the latest Parks and Rec episode or the newest movie. One of my favorite things is spending time with our friends and family.
Someday I want to own a Christmas tree farm and a wedding venue. I’m a wanna-be Southern girl so we won’t always be here in the midwest. I love children and I dream about having our own family someday.
All my life I’ve seemed to gravitate towards moving pictures. I love the technology behind producing videos, and I love the end product; a well-made film that looks fantastic and captures a great memory or narrative. It just so happens that those two interests intersect with this business we’ve started.
I had my beginnings in high school nabbing my Mom’s 35mm film camera she used in her own high school photography class. The small town I grew up in didn’t offer any photography/videography classes so I learned through the wonders of the internet and hard earned experience. I shot a lot of rolls of film and made ridiculous videos with friends through those years.
As college started I bought my first camera and became hooked on photography/videography even more. I decided to major in Marketing, but picked up a Video Production minor to fill up any spare time. There I learned the ins and outs of composition, exposure, ASA, and other terms that may bore you. With all of this new found knowledge I became engrossed in the world of cinema. After school I then taught Mindy everything I knew and we’ve loved every minute of our lives since creating films.
Outside of capturing beautiful weddings and families on video, I work full time for an amazing company called WooThemes who creates great products for the WordPress platform. I also love to play drums, ride my bike, and enjoy life with my wife. We love spending time in the great outdoors and hanging out with friends and family.
